E. Costs Approximate costs for 6 semester hours: Tuition Resident Non- * Some additional fees may apply. F. Financial Assistance Several scholarships are usually available as well as half-time teaching assistantships in ecology, genetics or general biology. Teaching assistantships pay approx. $10,300 for nine months (2 semesters and 20 hr. /week). Non-residents, who are teaching assistants or students on some scholarships, pay resident tuition and fees. G. Requirements • Interest in plants and animals. • B.S. degree in Biology or similar area with courses in general biology, genetics, physiology, biochemistry and ecology. • One and one-half years of chemistry, one year of physics and calculus or statistics. • Grade point average of 3.0 or better. • GRE Scores submitted. • Two letters of recommendation. |
